While driving near Elin Pelin, Bulgaria, Stilyana Gerova’s car broke down. As she stopped to fix a tire, she spotted a skinny, scared puppy with a KFC bag tangled around his neck — he had been searching for food in the trash.
Gerova, who runs the animal rescue Breed Love Bulgaria, quickly helped the pup and took him with her. Named Zaki, the little dog was taken to her shelter, joining over 200 dogs and 80 cats.
Zaki soon showed his sweet personality — friendly, playful, and full of energy. He loves walks, cuddles, and is good with other dogs. He’s still getting used to cats but is eager to learn and would thrive with a loving, active family.
Breed Love Bulgaria regularly brings rescued pets to adoptive homes in Germany. Zaki will travel with all necessary vaccinations, a microchip, and an EU pet passport.
What started as a flat tire turned into a life-saving moment for Zaki — now he just needs a forever home.
