Rescuers From New York Rush To Help Two Puppies Trapped In A Dangerous Stream

After 13 years of rescuing animals, the team at SNARR (Special Needs Animal Rescue & Rehabilitation Northeast) thought they had seen it all—until they got a heartbreaking call. A witness had just seen a man throw two Labrador-mix puppies from a moving car into a stream.

One pup managed to crawl out, but the other was struggling to stay above water. Thankfully, the caller acted fast, jumped in, and saved them both before SNARR arrived to rush them to safety.

The puppies were in shock. A medical exam revealed they had water in their lungs, road rash, and parasites. Still, they were lucky to be alive—all thanks to a brave Good Samaritan.

SNARR named them Tucker and Charlotte and gave them immediate care, love, and a solid treatment plan. “We don’t know what challenges lie ahead, but we’ll fight for them,” the team wrote.

A kind foster family took them in, giving them the love they had never known. The pups are now enjoying playdates, cuddles, and the safety of a warm home. They still get nervous around loud noises, but they’re learning to trust.

“They’re playful, loving, and absolutely adorable,” SNARR shared. A forever home is just around the corner—and for Tucker and Charlotte, their second chance has truly begun.
